Grief Informed Professional Certification: Helping Clients Navigate Grief Across the Lifespan

On-Demand Pre-Recorded

What stands in our client's way of grieving? What makes it so hard for them to grieve? How often do society and others judge individuals because they are not "getting" over their grief? Who are the invisible grievers? These questions and more have been the topic of conversation on grief and loss.

Grief and loss can have a profound and lasting impact on individuals, and there is a great need for counselors and therapists who can guide clients through the healing process. This comprehensive Grief Informed Professional Certification Training is designed to equip mental health professionals with the expertise to address the complexities of grief with sensitivity and efficacy.

This engaging workshop delves into the multifaceted nature of grief, exploring individuals' unique challenges in their grieving journey. With a focus on fostering empathy and understanding, the presenter analyzes the diverse factors that shape grief responses, encompassing gender, age, developmental level, family dynamics, cultural backgrounds, and social experiences. Validated measures and assessments for grief, depression, and suicide are covered in-depth during the training. In addition, the diagnostic criteria for Prolonged Grief Disorder, as recently introduced in the DSM-V-TR, is discussed.

Furthermore, throughout the training, the presenter introduces activities and interventions for working with clients experiencing grief. These practical tools will empower you to engage in meaningful therapeutic dialogues and facilitate transformative healing.

Upon successfully completing the training, attendees meet the criteria to become Certified Grief Informed Professionals through Evergreen Certifications. Visit Certified Grief Informed Professional (CGP) - Evergreen Certifications to learn more about the requirements for certification. The course price includes a FREE first year of certification through Evergreen Certifications. Instructions to receive free first-year certification are provided after course completion.
