Service Description

Emerging theories and models can provide insight into the identity development of LGBTQ+ people. This 2-hour session will take a deep dive into the LGBTQ+ experience, emerging research into gender and sexual orientation identity development, dominant models and theories for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) and Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual (LGB) identity, and best practices for supporting someone as they “come out.” **Meets DC Board of Social Work LGBTQI Course Requirements**
