Enhancing Clinical Practice with Positive Psychology
Online Live Webinar: Real-Time, Interactive Training
Positive psychology is the study and practice of what works. Building on ancient philosophies and 20th century humanistic teachings, the practice of positive psychology guides us in methods for moving beyond problem resolution to use of research-based strategies to help people foster resilience and to thrive.
This workshop will explore how positive psychology complements and enhances typical behavioral health work. Through didactic presentation and small group and other experiential exercises, participants will learn a framework for establishing their own and clients’ well being and happiness. The presentation will explore the roots of positive psychology and describe the contributions that positive psychology has and can make to behavioral health practice. Participants will be introduced to practical applications of positive psychology interventions for use across different clinical scenarios, and explore how they interrelate. Immediately useful for work with clients and application in systems of care, participants may also discover paths to their own improved happiness.
