Have you ever been confused or not known the correct gender pronoun or terminology when meeting a new person? Do you want to be more confident, comfortable, and respectful in understanding and using pronouns that are gender-inclusive and gender-affirming? This one-hour pre-recorded course will take you through the ins and outs of understanding gender pronouns and why they’re important. The presenter will discuss the history of gender pronouns and give examples of the uses of gender-inclusive pronouns. Gender pronoun best practices will be discussed and gender-neutral pronoun practice activities will be provided.

Gregory A. Brightbill (pronouns: he/him/they) is the owner of Bright Baltimore, LLC, a training and consulting company located in Baltimore, Maryland, specializing in LGBTQ+ advocacy and allyship. In addition to his work at Bright Baltimore, Greg works full time at the University of Maryland, Baltimore as an Associate Director in Student Affairs where he supports the educational, professional, and identity-based needs of health and human services students pursuing graduate and professional degrees. Additionally, Greg serves as the Vice-Chair of the GLSEN Maryland Board of Directors, an education and advocacy organization specializing in the needs of k-12 Queer youth in the Maryland Schools. Greg’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in psychology, a Master of Education in college student personnel administration, and a Master of Business Administration. Furthermore, Greg is currently in the candidacy phase of his Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership degree while he writes his dissertation titled: A Grounded Approach Campus Climate Model for Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Students in Graduate and Professional Education.

  3. Use and incorporate gender pronoun best practices into their everyday life.

  4. Demonstrate the use of gender-neutral and gender-inclusive pronouns

CE and Course Completion Requirements:

To earn the full CE Credits and successfully complete this course participants are required to: 

  1. Enroll in the course and complete the attendee attestation at the start of the course.

  2. Watch course videos in full and in order and complete course activities.

  3. Receive a passing score of at least 80% on all course quizzes. Quizzes may be retaken by participants.

  4. Complete the required course evaluation at the conclusion of the course. 

  5. A code will be sent to participants who have completed the course and the evaluation. Using this code participants must complete the final Code Quiz at the end of the training to receive their certificate.
     

Refund and Cancellations:

To request a refund or cancellation please submit the required information through our Contact page. Customers may request a refund (minus admin fee) or credit towards another training within 14 days after course purchase AND if they have not watched/completed more than 5 videos, lessons, or activities in the course.
