Addressing Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault with a Racial Equity Lens
DC Public Health Priority Training

Workshop Information

Domestic Violence (DV) and Sexual Assault (SA) are often narrowly examined as issues primarily centering gender and violence. For BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color) survivors and their communities, DV and SA are forms of violence rooted in racism and other forms of connected oppression. This training will examine the intersection of DV/SA and racism. In addition, training participants will be provided with critical tools for implementing anti-racism DV/SA intervention and prevention services specific to communities of color.
